I am happy to report a very successful twelfth year of the Zomba Action Project (ZAP).

ZAP was set up by Coleraine Borough Council in 2003 subsequent to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Coleraine Borough Council and Zomba Municipality (now Zomba City Assembly) in 2002. Over the twelve years ZAP has received over £600,000 mainly from the Coleraine community which has been used to fund a wide range of small projects in and around Zomba. These projects help the most disadvantaged people in the Zomba area, and are greatly appreciated by the people who have benefited from them. I am amazed that ZAP has been so successful in its work for the people of the Zomba area for a period of twelve years. This is due to the commitment of many people in the Coleraine community and beyond, to the members of the Management Boards in Coleraine and Zomba, to the Councillors of the Borough who have served on the ZAP Management Board, to those Councillors who have funded projects within Zomba Council and to the staff of the Council who have provided administrative support for ZAP.
